Chapter 184
At that moment, Brian's voice cfrom behind Ariana. “Alright. | agree.
Hearing this, Ariana turned around. She hadn't expected him to cback at this moment.
She turned too fast and bumped into his chest, banging her hose against the badge on his suit. She stepped
back, rubbing her nose. “Mr. Lodge, did you really agree to all that?”
From what she remembered, he was never so easy to deal with.
Brian said calmly, “What’s wrong? Now that I've agreed, you're not happy about it?”
“If you're on board, of course I'm happy.”
With that, Ariana acted as though she was afraid he might change his mind. She said to Emily, “You heard it, Ms.
Weston. Mr. Lodge is fine with everything. I'll leave the arrangements to you.”
“Yes, Ms. Torrey.”

Ariana looked at Brian. “Mr. Lodge, if there's nothing else, I'd like to go get srest.”
“Hold on.” Brian suddenly grabbed her arm.
Ariana frowned and glanced at his hand, wishing she could slice it right off.
“What is it, Mr. Lodge?”
“Where's the bouquet | sent you?”
Ariana realized he was talking about the roses. “Well, you see, Mr. Lodge, | felt they weren't a good match for
me, so | left them at the Torrey residence.”
“Did you really leave them there, or did you throw them out?”
Ariana answered in a polite tone, “I definitely left them at my house.”
In fact, she had tossed them into the fertilizer bin in the front yard, but technically that was still leaving them at
home.
Brian seemed satisfied with her confident response and had no idea what really happened to the flowers.
Ariana said, “If that’s all, I'll head upstairs.”
“Wait!”
She was about to roll her eyes. Would he ever finish?
She turned back. “Just say whatever you need to say, Mr. Lodge. I'm actually quite tired.”
“Why do you want to move to the farthest room?”
When she stayed here before, her room was next to his. Judging from how much she supposedly liked him, she
should have been fine with that.
Brian didn’t realize that Ariana was simply trying to keep her distance, even if it meant walking farther.
Ariana smiled and said, “Because the room at the end is bigger. | prefer wide spaces.”

She gave him an answer that was completely unconvincing
Brian frowned and said, “If you find your current room too small, you could stay in mine.”
He assumed she would be thrilled by that, given how she used to cling to him.
However, Ariana inwardly rolled her eyes at such a narcissistic idea. Who wanted to share a room with him?
She forced a smile. “Sharing a bedroom doesn’t feel appropriate. People might gossip. Besides, there's only one
bed. How would we sleep?”
