To test whether Helena was lying, Suzy put on a concerned expression and grabbed her wrist.
"You don't look too well. Letcheck and see what's going on." Feeling her pulse, Suzy quickly realized that Helena's condition wasn't as simple as a common cold.
Her system was completely out of balance-her digestion was off, and something wasn't right.
"How long have you been feeling like this?" "For days," Helena muttered weakly.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"At first, it was just diarrhea, like I ate something bad. It lasted for several days- at its worst, I was running to the bathroom over ten times a day.
"It got so bad I started questioning my existence. But when I finally went to the hospital, they couldn't find anything wrong. The medicine didn't help either.
"After days of that, I finally started feeling a little better today. But now it feels like I'm coming down with a cold- dizzy, lightheaded, my ears hurt...
"Honestly, I just feel terrible all over." From the way she described it, she was definitely poisoned.
Suzy's brows furrowed. "When the diarrhea first started, had you been at hthe whole time, or did you go out?" "I went out that day. I had plans with sfriends, so I left early in the morning and didn't get back until late," Helena answered truthfully.
"At first, I didn't think much of it. I figured I just ate too much or have too many different types of foods.
"You know how it is when women get together—it's all about eating and chatting.
"And that day, we really indulged. We ate a lot." "Are you sure you can trust those friends of yours?" At Suzy's question, Helena's expression darkened.
She frowned. "Why are you asking that?" Suzy met her gaze steadily. "Because you've been poisoned." "Poisoned?" Helena's frown deepened.
"Are you saying I'm not sick-I was actually poisoned?" "Exactly." Suzy studied her reaction closely.

"Good thing I work out regularly and have decent stamina. If I were in weaker health, those days of nonstop diarrhea alone could've killed me! "Who the hell poisoned me?" "That's what you need to figure out." Suzy smirked.
"Think carefully-when you met up with your friends that day, did any of them seem... off?" Helena didn't hesitate before shaking her head.
"No way. I've known them since we were kids. Anyone else might try to hurt me, but not them. There's absolutely no chance it was any of them."
"Did any of them have the ssymptoms as you? If they did then it But wasn't them. But if they didn't, then one of them might be involved." bet
Helena thought for a moment. "I don't think so. But even if they didn't, that doesn't prove they had anything to do doesn't,prove, with it! It's not like they all secretly teamed up to poison me." Suzy nodded. "That's fair. Maybe I'm overthinking it. But the fact remains-you were poisoned. You should keep an eye out, just in case one of them really is behind it." Helena immediately rejected the idea.
"No way! Even if someone is out to get me, it's definitely not one of them. It must have been a hotel staff member, the dessert shop owner, or maybe even the bartender a the club. "Anyone could have done it, but not them." mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLliIofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1
