Chapter 326
Grace froze for a moment, immediately realizing that Bianca intended to use her hands to teach Elyta a lesson.
Bianca was clever, she had cleaned her hands of any direct involvement.
If things went wrong. Bianca could always deny any blame, and Grace would be the scapegoat
The coldness in Grace's eyes deepened as she stared at Bianca. “You can leave now. | don’t agree?
It seemed Bianca had already anticipated this answer, for there was no surprise on her face. Her tone remained
calm. ‘Don’t worry. | won't let you work for free. How about 150 thousand dollars? Once the job is done, you can
leave this place?
Bianca straightened her posture and glanced around the small restaurant. “I know your situation. You have
greedy parents. You might as well take the money and leave this place. Only by getting away from them can you
start your own life?
“Grace, I'm helping you, Bianca added, intentionally emphasizing the last word
Grace's eyes brightened, realizing that taking the money and leaving might be a good idea. Once she taught
Elysia a lesson, she would get the 150 thousand dollars.
After that, she would no longer be tied to this poor area of Sivro. She could have a new life, free from her greedy
parents.
“Can | trust you?” Grace asked.
“Of course, Grace. The path is right in front of you. Whether you choose to take it or not, you need to think
carefully, Bianca replied.
Grace hesitated, her hands tightening. If she agreed, she might finally break free from this fate.
If she didn’t, her life would remain this way forever.
She scanned the small restaurant and the chaotic surroundings, her resolve growing stronger.
She remembered the harsh words from the overweight woman. One of them was true. Sooner or later, her
parents would sell her off to a man, and she would marry and have children.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtA voice inside Grace kept urging her, “Agree to it. You must agree to it.”
Rather than live quietly in submission, Grace thought it would be better to take a chance. Maybe, just maybe,
she could change her fate.
After coming to this conclusion, Grace looked at Bianca with a serious tone. “Fine, | will do it. 150 thousand
dollars, and you better giveevery penny.”
“Of course, the Janssen family isn’t lacking 150 thousand dollars. If | say I'll give it to you, | will,” Bianca replied.
But inwardly, Bianca sneered at Grace. You want money? Dream on. This is just bait. Once you've done the job, |
won't give you a single penny.
Even in the past, Bianca couldn't have cup with that much money, let alone now, when the Janssen family
was under pressure from two powerful forces and was nowhere near as strong as before.
This was why Bianca had chosen Grace.
Grace had a clean slate, no real background, and those greedy parents. Even if Bianca didn’t give her a penny in
the end, Grace would have no way of retaliating.
Bianca was feeling smug when Grace's voice broke in again. “I'm not so sure. You should pay half of the money
upfront
Bianca paused for a moment.
Half the deposit would be 75 thousand dollars.
Bianca raised an eyebrow, thinking to herself, ‘I really underestimated her. She’s not entirely a fool, after all. But
when it comes to playing this game, she’s still too green.
“You wantto pay you 75 thousand dollars without you doing anything? What if you just take the money and
run?” Bianca retorted.
“I'll settle for 3,000 dollars instead. How does that sound?” Grace replied.
Bianca immediately shot back, “Impossible. Think about it. You're living in Sivro’s poor area. Your family’s
savings combined probably don’t even add up to 3,000 dollars. Why should | pay you a 3,000-dollar deposit?
“If you don’t want to do this, | can always find someone else. 150 thousand dollars is a pretty good reward. There
are plenty of people lined up for it.”
Bianca was about to turn and leave, but before she could take a step, Grace hurriedly spoke up. “Wait, | agree.
Bianca, with her back to Grace, couldn't help but smile slightly. She hadn't actually intended to leave; it was just
a tactic to provoke Grace, and it worked.
Bianca turned around, her eyes now carrying a mix of amusement and coldness. “Then let us plan how to make
sure
« everything goes off without a hitch.”
“Okay.” Grace nodded.
The two of them leaned in closer, discussing the details of their plan.
Meanwhile, Elysia was sitting in the Class 6 classroom, explaining a problem to her classmates.
Her desk was surrounded by people, creating a small crowd around her.
“Elysia, someone is looking for you outside,” a loud male voice rang out from the crowd. The students
immediately parted to make way, and the boy continued, “Justin’s here, right outside the classroom.”
“Justin?” Elysia raised an eyebrow. She hadn't expected him to show up.
She stood up and walked toward the door, while curious classmates eagerly followed her. “Justin keeps coming to
find Elysia. Do you think he likes her?”
“I think he admires her. Elysia is so talented; she might even be better than Justin. Think about it. He's never met
anyone like her in all these years. Not many people have been able to challenge him like Elysia can, right?”
“Shh! Quiet down, just watch and see.”
When Justin saw Elysia, a smile appeared on his face.
He was about to speak when Elysia raised a hand to silence him. Her gaze swept over to the doorway, and she
coughed lightly. “You all love eavesdropping so much. How about coming out and listening openly?”
The group of students froze, realizing that Elysia was addressing them.
They quickly began to exchange guilty looks, and sbegan pointing fingers at each other.
“I warned you not to speak.”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm“So, what now?”
“Well, Elysia has spoken. What else can we do? We better get as far away as possible.”
The students scattered quickly, and Elysia, with a small smile, turned to Justin. “What brings you here?”
“It’s about Bianca. I'm sorry, Justin replied.
Elysia frowned, thinking, “Bianca’s situation? What does this have to do with him?”
Seeing that Elysia was confused, Justin explained further. “Earlier, Bianca ctoand mentioned something
about what happened at the school gate. | warned her at the time, but | never imagined she would take things
this far.”
“This has nothing to do with you. It’s just how she is. You don’t need to apologize,” Elysia responded.
Justin fell silent, unable to speak further. After seeing the posts online, he had approached Bianca more than
once, but she had refused to acknowledge any involvement.
“If there's nothing else, I'll head back to class,” Elysia said, about to turn around and head inside.
Justin desperately wanted to say something to keep her there, but he opened his mouth and found himself at a
loss for words.
“Hi, Elysia!” A clear voice cfrom a distance. Both Elysia and Justin turned to see who it was.
“Hey, Alice?” Elysia’s face brightened with a smile. “What brings you here?”
“Of course, | cto see you. | missed you!” Alice replied, then noticed Justin standing nearby. “Elysia, did |
cat a bad time?”
