Chapter 737 "Mr. Pritchett, are you saying || "What exactly do you know?" Dylan interrupted Caleb impatiently.

How much Caleb knew would determine how Dylan would deal with him. Right now, he had neither the mood nor the tto beat around the bush.

Caleb didn't keep him guessing, either. He said slowly, "Actually, it's nothing serious. I just happened to see you dropping that woman off on Xeno Street." As soon as Caleb finished speaking, Dylan's expression froze. At the stime, he slowly balled his hands-which were resting on the table-into fists.

What Caleb said was true.

Anyone who had ever been to Novaterra knew exactly what kind of place Xeno Street was. If the bustling city represented prosperity, then that area was its neglected, decaying underbelly. It was a gathering place for the homeless, drifters, and even fugitives.

For a young woman like Jean to end up there was like a lamb thrown into a pack of wolves. She wouldn't even have a chance to fight back.

Dylan, of course, knew this. But there was no other way. She had said it herself- she could never return to the country. So, she wanted to use the money Brian had left there to live out the rest of her life in peace.

And she wanted Dylan to join her. But there was no way he was willing to do that. Thus, the two of them had gotten into an argument on the road.

The facade of innocence Jean had maintained in front of him was shattered. Just like when they had first gotten together, she pointed at his nose and cursed him. Thus, Dylan had deliberately driven to that place and left Jean there on purpose. As he drove away, he could even hear Jean's cries. But he didn't stop. He felt no pity or sympathy for her. In fact, he found it almost laughable, even satisfying.

She had always thought he was beneath him, after all. Even after spending a few years in prison, she still hadn't changed that arrogant attitude of hers. And besides, she was the one who said she didn't want to return to the country. Then, she could just stay in Xeno Street forever.

The next day, Dylan found her body with the police. It was covered in bruises, and with so many people involved, it was impossible to determine who the killer was.

But from the wounds on her body and the wide-eyed expression on her face, it was clear what she had gone through before her death.

With their marriage certificate in his hand, Dylan tearfully told the police that he couldn't let anyone use the incident to tarnish Jean's reputation. So, he asked them to list the cause of death as an illness.

Since the police couldn't catch the killer anyway, and with his efforts, Dylan quickly obtained the death certificate and smoothly returned to the country.

Even though he hadn't covered his tracks perfectly, he made no obvious

mistakes, either. So, the last thing he expected was for a witness to ce forward months later.

Dylan looked at Caleb. "We had a fight. It was wrong ofto leave her there, but never expected="

"Mr. Pritchett, you can fool others all you want," Caleb interrupted. "But don't you think that sounds ridiculous even to you? Besides, I'm not here to cause trouble. If I really wanted to expose you, don't you think I would've told everyone by now? I'm genuinely here to do business with you." mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLliIofifl0&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1
